"Sex and the City" star Cynthia Nixon announced her engagement to longtime partner Christine Mariononi during an Action = Marriage Equality rally to fight for same-sex marriages in New York City May 17, 2009. The couple has been dating since 2003. In a 2007 interview, Nixon said, "In terms of sexual orientation I don't really feel I've changed ... I'd been with men all my life, and I'd never fallen in love with a woman. But when I did, it didn't seem so strange. I'm just a woman in love with another woman."
